Energy Education Events
One of KEP's primary goals is to provide energy education and support our Kansas teachers. This is much more than just presentations - KEP develops and leads energy-focused activities, creates and provides curricula, maintains an energy equipment library, facilitates the K-12 Energy Benchmarking Project, and hosts the state portion of a global STEM competition called the KidWind Challenge. Through its partnership with the Kansas Corporation Commission and with additional support from corporate sponsors, there is no charge for these services.

Small Business Assessments
Through a partnership with the Kansas Corporation Commission and USDA, KEP provides no-cost energy assessments to small businesses, agricultural producers, and non-profit entities in Kansas. KEP also assists eligible agricultural producers and rural small businesses in preparing the USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant applications. We've had some great success, which is highlighted below.
